Join us the first Saturday of every month for kriya yoga meditation. Kriya yoga is from the lineage of Babaji and living master Yogiraj Satgurunath Siddhanath. This is the same yoga described in the book "Autobiography of a Yogi." This class is a blend of simple movement (asana), breath work (pranayama), healing sounds( mantra), and guided meditation. This practice is ideal for first time meditators and those who have already been initiated into the kriya yoga practice.
Specific Techniques Shared in this Class: * Surya Yoga :This pranic self-healing technique teaches you how to harness the power of the sun. Many people report increased energy during the day and healing of mental, emotional, and physical imbalances.
* Samahdi Yoga- Flight of the White Swan Guided Meditation: This guided meditation and chakra-healing technique leads the practitioner towards expanded states of consciousness, relaxation, and a natural state of enlightenment.
* Kriya Yoga (For those who have learned the Kriya practice) : The main focus of this practice is pranayama, or life-force control. By directing life-force energy in the central channel of the spine, physical, mental and spiritual purification occurs. As a result, karma is cleansed, you gain control over the psychic nerves, and begin the process of awakening kundalini (the indwelling spiritual energy).
* Baby Kriya Yoga ( For those who have not learned Kriya practice)
